JC Taverns was established in 1994 after 16 years working in the pub and hotel trades as managers, tenants or licensees. Having established an excellent working relationship with Arkells Brewery, Ye Olde Red Lion at Chieveley was offered in serious need of maintenance. There’s been no looking back since.

We work with some old fashioned principles, providing the kind of service that we in turn would like to receive.

Having to equip most of our pubs has always proven to be highly expensive and trying to get any help or just a bit of advice is virtually impossible without a rep calling round the next day. This is why we decided to establish The Warehouse and even if you don’t need to buy from us, we will do our best to help if you have a question.

Everything to do with this trade is immediately highly priced and if you need a complete re-fit, you’re normally talking telephone numbers. However, many of the chains will decide on a whim that it is time for a change so they just strip out the old, sell it on to us and in with the new. Bearing in mind that this equipment has to be regularly maintained and serviced, there is often years of use left in it.

We now have a warehouse full of nearly new, second hand or reconditioned items, ranging from single bar stools through to full three-phase installations, at just a fraction of the cost you would have to pay elsewhere.
